A variance of 8.5 feet on the north side setback (Garden Avenue side). The city code requires a setback of 20% of the lot width (or I S feet for a property less than 75 feet wide) from the side property line when the side abuts a public right of way. The owner wishes to build a new garage at a setback of 6.5 feet, the same as the existing, non-conforming garage. On this portion of Garden, private property begins about 10 feet in from the curb. 2. A variance of 7 feet on the driveway width. The city code defines a maximum driveway opening width according to the length of the street frontage. This property is eligible for the maximum 24 foot width. The owner wishes to have a 31 foot wide driveway opening. A public hearing on these variances will be held on the date stated below, at the August meeting of the City Planning Commission..A copy of the published legal notice is enclosed.
