The Planning Commission voted to recommend
approval to the City Council, which passed the amendment on February 12.
The amendment did three things:
• Add a defmition of Farmer's Markets to the Code.
Add a provision for issuing Interim Use Permits, a type of permit Falcon Heights has not
used before.
• Add Farmer's Market as a legal interim use in the B-2 zone.
The next step is the application for the actual Interim Use Permit for the Farmer's Market
• proposed at Twin Cities Co-op. This permit would include the specific conditions on this
particular .farmer's market at this location and would address, in greater detail, the concerns that
were brought forward at the November 26 meeting and the ,hearing on February 4.
A public hearing on the IUP will be held at the next Planning Commission meeting:
Tuesday, February 25, 2003
7:00 PM
City Hall Council Chambers
I have enclosed a draft copy of the Farmer's Market Interim Use Permit and a copy of the legal
notice for the public hearing.
If you wish to discuss the provisions of the Interim Use Permit before the meeting, please feel
free to call me at 651-644-5050 or email me at hwortllington(~ci.falcon-hei~hts.mn.us.
