C. EXCEPTIONS <br />1. Emergency Vehicles • <br />Emergency vehicles are exempt from posted parking <br />restrictions when responding to an emergency. <br />2. Snow Emergencies <br />After a two inch snowfall, no on street parking is <br />allowed until the street is plowed to its .full width. <br />3. State Fair Parking <br />a. Temporary "No Parking" signs shall be posted on <br />streets so designated by the city council during <br />the Minnesota State Fair. <br />b. Temporary parking permits shall be issued to <br />residents and/or property owners of designated <br />apartment buildings along streets designated <br />"No Parking" by the city council during the <br />Minnesota State Fair. <br />4. Temporary Parking Permits <br />a. Temporary permits shall be issued for the <br />following reasons: • <br />(1) For construction and service vehicles <br />necessary for performing work on a <br />property <br />(2) For special event parking or visitor <br />parking in a restricted parking district <br />(3) For visitor parking in a residential <br />permit parking district <br />b. A temporary parking permit(s) shall be issued <br />for a minimum of one day and a maximum of two <br />weeks. The applicant shall identify the <br />purpose for the permit(s) and the length of <br />time required for the temporary parking <br />permit (s) . <br />c. A temporary parking permit shall be placed in <br />the left lower rear corner of the left side <br />window closest to the rear of the vehicle or in <br />some other conspicuous spot inside the left <br />rear of the vehicle where it is visible to <br />law enforcement personnel. <br />a <br />
