Pursue and encourage housing rehabilitation programs, such as the Housing Resource <br /> Center. <br />4. Continue to make rental assistance available to residents through the Metropolitan <br /> Housing and Redevelopment Authority Section 8 Program. <br />5. Encourage home ownership by initiating a community land trust program to keep a <br /> proportion of homes affordable. <br />6. Monitor and maintain the quality ofnon-owner-occupied single-family housing by <br /> requiring registration and regular inspection of rental housing. [?] <br />7. Space group homes in residential districts with not less than 1/2 mile between homes, <br /> as allowable by state statutes. <br />8. Continue to eliminate zoning code violations and nuisance conditions that adversely <br /> affect neighborhoods. <br />9. Maintain the single-family character of the existing residential neighborhoods and <br /> discourage redevelopment that maybe considered a change in use unless irreversible <br /> blight can be demonstrated. <br />10. Allow the remodeling of existing residential structures and accessory uses without <br />• adversely affecting the character of the neighborhood or substantially reducing <br /> required open space. <br />
