Existing Land Use <br />Falcon Heights is a fully developed inner-ring suburb. Over half of the City's land is <br />occupied by large public institutions not subject to the City's land use controls. The City <br />is otherwise largely residential, with clearly defined neighborhoods and limited business <br />and commercial areas. <br />• Approximately two-thirds of Falcon Heights 1,400 acres is comprised of University <br />of Minnesota lands and the Minnesota State Fairgrounds.
