• Planning Commission <br />2/26/08 <br />ITEM: Review of Planning Commission Policies and Procedures <br />SUBMITTED BY: Deborah Jones, Zoning and Planning Director <br />REVIEWED BY: Justin Miller, City Administrator <br />Background• <br />On January 22 the Planning Commission reviewed its standing rules and <br />brought forward suggestions for changes to the 1990 document. The <br />commissioners requested a written draft incorporating the changes, to be <br />reviewed in February. The matter was then tabled by consensus. <br />Upon approval by the Commission the final draft will be reformatted and <br />distributed by staff. <br />For Commissioners' information, the chapter of the city code that serves as the <br />basis of the policy document, also reviewed last month, is attached, also <br />Sikkink's Seven Motion System, which is mentioned in the standing rules. <br />Attachments: <br />• Falcon Heights Planning Commission Standing Rules, March 26,1990, <br />with revisions recommended January 22, 2008 -DRAFT. <br />• Falcon Heights City Code, Chapter 2 <br />• Sikkink's Seven Motion System <br />Actions Requested: <br />• Review and discuss the attached documents <br />Pass a motion to adopt the standing rules, with any changes deemed <br />appropriate <br />• <br />City of Falcon Heights Planning Commission, February 26, 2008 Page 1 of 1 <br />Staff Report: Review of standing rules <br />
