<br />CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS <br />No. 96-04 <br />COUNCIL RESOLUTION <br />Date: February 28, 1996 <br />------------------------------------------------------------ <br />ARESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PUBLICATION OF A SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE <br />96-01 <br />WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 96-01 is entitled "An ordinance amending Chapter <br />9 of the city code" and contains several pages of text; and <br />WHEREAS, the contents of said ordinance can be summarized as follows: <br />Amends Chapter 9-2.04 to require that when an attached garage is converted to <br />living space, a new garage must be constructed and the old driveway replaced with <br />landscaping materials. <br />• Amends Chapter 9-2.04 to prohibit new street access curb cuts to properties <br />located on alleys. <br />Amends Chapter 9-2.05 to delete the requirement for fences being 30% open with <br />respect to air movement. <br />Amends Chapter 9-4.01 to clarify requirements for parking of boats and <br />unoccupied trailers in residential areas. <br />Amends Chapter 9-13.02 to clarify requirements regarding the size of business wall <br />signs. <br />Amends Chapter 9-13.04 to eliminate conflicting language in the code regarding <br />the materials required in the construction of driveways and to clarify the maximum <br />amount of front yard that may be utilized for driveway surfacing. <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes Section 412.191 authorizes publication of <br />ordinance summaries in lieu of publication of the entire text of ordinances under <br />certain circumstances. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city council of the City of <br />Falcon Heights, Minnesota that: <br />• 1. Publication of this resolution, which includes a summary of Ordinance 96-01 <br />will clearly inform the public of the intent and effect of the ordinance. <br />
