• No. 96-18 <br />Date: 10/23/96 <br />CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS <br />CITY COUNCIL RESOLUTION <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR A SECONDHAND FURNITURE <br />STORE AT 1579A N. HAMLINE AVENUE <br />WHEREAS, the City of Falcon Heights received an application from Dirk Bordsen, owner of <br />the shopping center located at Hoyt and Hamline Avenues and containing the address 1579A N. <br />Hamline Avenue, for the issuance of a conditional use permit to operate a secondhand furniture <br />store; and <br />WHEREAS, the city council did carefully consider the request and the recommendations <br />made by the city's planning commission after holding the required public hearing; and <br />WHEREAS, it was determined that the conditional use permit meets all the general and <br />specific requirements set forth in Chapter 9-15.04 subd. 3 (a) of the zoning code. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city council of the City of Falcon Heights that a <br />• conditional use permit for the operation of a secondhand furniture store at 1579A N. Hamline <br />Avenue be granted subject to the following conditions: <br />The store be authorized to sell used furniture and household furnishings only. <br />2. The hours of operation shall be limited to 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. <br />3. There shall be no outdoor storage or outdoor display of merchandise. <br />4. Outdoor sales of merchandise shall be limited to sidewalk sales held not more than twice per <br />year for periods no longer than three days each. <br />5. Any change or expansion to the type of used goods sold shall require an amendment to the <br />conditional use permit. <br />6.
