No. R-93-14 <br />CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS <br />C O U N C I L R E S O L U T I O N <br />Date: March 10. 1993 <br />A RESOLUTION COMMENDING NANCY WICKHEM FOR HER <br />DEDICATION TO A SUCCESSFUL NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH PROGRAM <br />WHEREAS, the City of Falcon Heights has become the first city <br />in Minnesota with 100 of all residential blocks as part of a Neighborhood <br />Watch program; and <br />WHEREAS, this program sponsored by the Roseville Police <br />Department, is designed to make residents more concerned about their <br />neighbors and bring cooperation and communication into the neighborhoods; and <br />WHEREAS, this communication among neighbors and the police helps <br />provide friendly and more secure neighborhoods; and <br />WHEREAS, in 1991 Nancy Wickhem independently organized her <br />neighborhood, a large neighborhood of approximately 300 homes, into the <br />• Neighborhood Watch program thereby making a major contribution to the 100 <br />participation designation; and <br />WHEREAS, Nancy Wickhem continues to be devoted to neighborhood <br />improvement and activities; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city council of the City of <br />Falcon Heights that Nancy Wickhem be commended for her dedication to a more <br />caring and safer neighborhood and community. <br />- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - <br />Approved by J~~ `~,~ _~ <br />Mayor <br />BALDWIN March 10. 1993 <br />CIERNIA 5 In Favor Date <br />GEHRZ <br />JACOBS 0 Against <br />GIBBON TALBOT <br />Attested by <br />Cit Clerk <br />March 10, 1993 <br />• Date <br />
