SF2264 FIRST ENGROSSMENT [REVISOR J KJ <br />Version as send ~o Governor <br />SF2264-1E. <br />1 A bill for•an act <br />2 relating to local government, allowing the city of <br />3 Falcon Heights to consolidate election precincts; <br />4 placing restrictions on Ramsey county officials and <br />5 employees; providing penalties; proposing coding for <br />6 new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 383A. <br />7 <br />8 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br />9 Section 1. [FALCON HEIGHTS; ELECTION PRECINCTS.] <br />10 Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 204H.14, <br />11 subdivision 3, the city of Falcon Heights may establish new <br />12 election precincts in 1988 by .consolidating its four existing <br />13 election precincts into two new election precincts. The <br />14 ~ cinct boon ` rig ~ at be r4-established b t~ta 10 19 :. <br />15 Sec. 2. [383A.201J [OFFICIALS NOT TO BE INTERESTED IN <br />16 CONTRACTS.] <br />17 No Ramsey county official or the official's deputy, clerk, <br />18 or employee and no commissioner for tax-forfeited lands or the <br />19 commissioner's assistants, may have a personal financial <br />20 interest (1) in a contract, work, labor, or business to which <br />21 the county is a party or in which it is or may be interested, <br />22 (2) or in the furnishing of an article to, or the purchase or <br />23 sale of any real or personal property by the county, or of which <br />24 the consideration, price, or expense is payable from the county <br />25 treasurv.
