CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS <br />. Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the City <br />Council of the City of Falcon Heights, Minnesota, was held on April 11, <br />1984. <br />The following members were present: Mayor Eggert, Councilmembers <br />Hard, Chestovich, Ciernia, and Baldwin, and the following were absent: <br />None. <br />Councilmember Baldwin introduced the following resolution and moved <br />its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION 84-12 <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A JOINT PURCHASING <br />AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF ST. PAUL. <br />WHEREAS, two or more governmental units, by agreement entered into <br />through action of their governing bodies, may jointly or cooperatively <br />excercise any power, common to the contracting parties, and; <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Falcon Heights, Minnesota, <br />desires to enter into a purchasing agreement with the City of St. Paul for <br />the joint purchase of equipment, material and supplies as needed. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that pursuant to Minnesota Statutes <br />471.59, commonly referred to as the 'Joint Powers Act", the proper- <br />. City officials are hereby authorized and directed to execute a joint <br />purchasing agreement with the City of St. Paul, a copy of said agreement <br />to be kept on-file and on record in the Office of the Clerk Administrator, <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by Councilmember Hard and upon a vote being taken, the following <br />voted in favor thereof: Mayor Eggert, Councilmembers Hard, Chestovich, <br />Ciernia, and Baldwin, and the following voted against the same: None. <br />WHEREUPON, the resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />ATTEST: <br />~~ <br />~, ~ ,2~0~ <br />~~ ~'~ <br />Dewari L~. :Barnes, Clerk .Administrator <br />a1d C.
