CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the <br />City Council of the City of Falcon Heights was duly called and held at the <br />City Hall in said City on the 7th day of January, 1982 at 5:30 p.m. <br />The following members were present: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers <br />Eggert, Larson, Ciernia and Chestovich, and the following were absent: None. <br />adoption: <br />Mayor Warkentien introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />RESOLUTION 82-1 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING EXECUTING OF A PURCHASE <br />AGREEMENT FOR ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Falcon Heights has hereto- <br />fore determined that it is advisable and in the public interest to provide <br />for the acquisition and construction of a new community center/city hall; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the City has initiated condemnation proceedings to acquire <br />certain property for such purpose; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has received a proposal for the negotiated-sale <br />of said property to the City at a price which is commensurate with the value <br />thereof; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Falcon Heights that the terms and conditions of the Purchase Agreement pertain- <br />ing to the acquisition of property to be used as a site for the new community <br />center/city hall, a copy of which Agreement is on file in the office of-the <br />Clerk Administrator, are hereby approved, and the Mayor and Clerk Administrator <br />are authorized and directed to sign said Agreement on behalf of the City as <br />"Buyer", subject to such changes as may be approved by the City Attorney to <br />effectuate the substantive terms and conditions thereof. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by Councilmember Eggert and upon a vote being taken thereon, the <br />following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Eggert, <br />Larson, Chestovich and Ciernia, and the following voted against the same: <br />None. <br />WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />Willis C.
