CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the <br />_ City Council of Falcon Heights, Minnesota was held on the 13th day of January, <br />1981. <br />The following members were present: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers <br />Eggert, Larson, Ciernia and Chestovich, and the following were absent: None. <br />adoption: <br />Councilmember Eggert introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />RESOLUTION 82-6 <br />REGULATING PARKING ON THE EAST SIDE OF ARONA <br />AVENUE BETWEEN LARPENTEUR AVENUE AND CRAWFORD <br />STREET AND AMENDING RESOLUTION 79-27 <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Falcon Heights adopted <br />Resolution 79-27 regulating truck parking on Arona Avenue on the east side <br />between Larpenteur Avenue northerly to Crawford Street; and <br />WHEREAS, the hazards for traffic movement created by truck parking <br />are also caused by other types of motor vehicles the parking of-which should <br />be regulated on Arona Avenue. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of <br />Falcon Heights directs the Clerk-Administrator to cause the east side of Arona <br />Avenue to be posted "No Parking of Trucks, Pick-Up Trucks, Recreational Vehicles <br />. and Passenger Vans" between Larpenteur Avenue to Crawford Street so enforcement <br />can be conducted. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that for the purposes of this Resolution the <br />following terms shall .have the meanings given them: <br />(a) "Truck" means every motor vehicle designed, <br />used or maintained primarily for the trans- <br />portation of property. <br />(b) "Pick-up truck" means every motor vehicle <br />designed, used or maintained for the trans- <br />portation of property and passengers the <br />body of which contains an open area to the <br />rear of the cab for the transportation of <br />property. <br />(c) "Recreational vehicle" means "recreational <br />equipment" as defined in Minnesota Statutes, <br />Section 168.011, Subdivision 25. <br />(d) "Passenger van" means every motor vehicle <br />designed and used for carrying more than <br />nine persons. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Chestovich <br />• and upon a vote being taken the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Warkentien, <br />Councilmembers Eggert, Larson, Ciernia and Chestovich, and the following voted <br />against the same: None. <br />
