City of Falcon. Heights
Falcon Heights, Mn.
Re: File No. 4451
May 4, 7982
•
The proposed plan incorporates a system of swales, open channels and culverts
to convey the storm water from the site to the storm water pond. We recommend
that .this system be replaced with an urban type storm drainage system that
would include catch basins and underground pipe. This urban type system would
eliminate the maintenance problems associated with swales and culverts. Under
this system catch .basins would be installed in each of the four easterly cul-
de-sacs and would be connected to the storm water pond by storm sewer.
In summary, based on our review of the proposed plans, we recommend that the
plan be approved with the following provisions:
1) That seven (7) acre-feet of storm water storage be provided in two ponds.
located near the south end of the development on dither side of Prior Ave-
nue and that each pond have a seepage structure with a capacity of 1 cfs.
2) That an urban type storm sewer system with catch basins and underground
storm sewer be installed in the development.
If we~can be of any further assistance in this matter, please contact us.
Yours very truly, •
BONESTR00, ROSENE, ANDERLIK & ASSOCIATES, INC.
Robert G.
