CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the <br />• City Council of the City of Falcon Heights, Minnesota was held on the 22nd <br />day of September, 1982. <br />The following members were present: Mayor Warkentien, Council- <br />members Chestovich, Larson-and Eggert and the following were absent: <br />Ciernia. <br />adoption: <br />Mayor Warkentien introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />RESOLUTION 82-41 <br />RESOLUTION FORMING DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT N0. 1, <br />ADOPTING DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM, DECLARING PUBLIC <br />PURPOSE, AND PROVIDING FOR ADMINISTRATION <br />WHEREAS: <br />A. It has been proposed that the City of Falcon <br />Heights form a development district and adopt a development program <br />therefor under the provisions of Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 472 (the "Act"); <br />and <br />B. In accordance with the provisions of the Act, the Planning <br />Commission had been consulted with concerning the proposal to forma develop- <br />. went district; and <br />C. A public hearing was duly held on said proposal on this date <br />in accordance with the provisions of the Act; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City <br />of Falcon Heights as follows: <br />1. Development District. There is established in the City of <br />Falcon Heights a development district to be known as "Development District <br />No. l," the initial. boundaries of which are fixed and determined as shown <br />on the attached Exhibit A incorporated herein by reference. <br />2. Development Program. The development program as set forth <br />in the report entitled "Development District No. l", dated September 22, 1982, <br />a copy of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk, is adopted as <br />the Development Program for Development District No. 1. <br />3. Public Purpose. The formation of Development District <br />No.l and adoption of the Development Program conform in all respects to <br />the requirements of the Act and will help fulfill a need to develop an area <br />of the City which is already built up to provide employment opportunities to <br />improve the tax base and to improve the general economy of the State and <br />thereby serves a public purpose. <br />
