CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of <br />the City Council of the City of Falcon Heights was held November 4, 1982. <br />• The following members were present: Mayor Warkentien, Council- <br />members Eggert, Larson, Ciernia and Chestovich, and the following were <br />absent: None. <br />Councilmember Eggert introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION 82-51 <br />A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE COUNCIL'S <br />CONCERNS IN RESPECT TO RAMSEY COUNTY'S <br />PROCEDURES IN CONDUCTING THE NOVEMBER <br />2, 1982 GENERAL ELECTION <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is aware that Precinct No. l of the <br />City was given the wrong State Ballots and one wrong County Ballot and, <br />WHEREAS, the Judges of Precinct No. 1 were not aware of the <br />mix-up until 7:30 a.m. after 38 persons had cast their ballots and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Staff had an undue amount of work involved <br />in notifying the individuals that cast their ballots that they did have <br />the right to recast said ballots and, <br />WHEREAS, when the results were delivered to the County no <br />assistance was given to unloading even though approximately 8 staff <br />members were there standing around doing nothing, <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council that more <br />care should be taken by the Ramsey County Office of Elections as to <br />furnishing the proper supplies to the City of Falcon Heights and further <br />to assist City Staff Members when returns are delivered to the County. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was <br />duly seconded by Mayor Warkentien, and upon a vote being taken thereon, <br />the following voted in favor thereofc Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers <br />Eggert, Larson, Ciernia and Chestovich, and the following voted against <br />the same: None. <br />WHEREUPON, the resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />-C..Q.~cs .. <br />Willis C.
