CITY' OF FALCON HEIGHTS <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a Regular Meeting of the City <br />Council of Falcon Heights, Minnesota was held on the 28th day of February, 1979. <br />The following members were present: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Black, <br />McGough, Steele and Brown, and the following were absent: None. <br />Councilmember Black introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption. <br />RESOLUTION 79-9 <br />A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING VACATION TIME FOR FULL <br />TIME EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS <br />• <br />WHEREAS, the City of Falcon Heights does not have a vacation policy for <br />permanent employees and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Council desires to update their vacation policy for <br />permanent employees which is fair and equitable to the employees and which is <br />consistent with the nature of the public services to be rendered to the City <br />of Falcon Heights. <br />NOW, THEBEF'ORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, by the City Council of Falcon Heights <br />that the following schedule for vacation be adhered to: <br />1. Vacation time for full time employees of the City of Falcon Heights shall <br />be calculated according to the following schedule: <br />(1) After 6 months of continuous employment, employees shall <br />be entitled to 5 days paid vacation; <br />(2) After one full year of continuous employment, employees <br />shall be entitled to a total of 10 days paid vacation; <br />(3) After two full years of continuous employment, employees <br />shall be entitled to a total of 10 days paid vacation per <br />year. <br />(!~) After ten full years of continuous employment, employees <br />shall be entitled to a total of 15 days paid vacation per <br />year. <br />(5) After 15 full years of continuous employment, employees <br />shall be entitled to a total of 20 days paid vacation per <br />year thereafter. <br />II. IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that the following conditions on the accrual of <br />vacation time are imposed: <br />(1) No vacation time may be taken until it is fully earned; <br />(2) A11 vacsti~a time must be taken within one year after it <br />is accrued; <br />(3) If vacation time is not taken within one year after it is <br />accrued, it shall be forefeited and there will be no re- <br />imbursement for such unused and forf~~..ted vacation time. <br />
