CITY' OF FALCON HEIGHTS RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a Regular Meeting of the City Council of Falcon Heights, Minnesota was held on the 28th day of February, 1979. The following members were present: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Black, McGough, Steele and Brown, and the following were absent: None. Councilmember Black introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption. RESOLUTION 79-9 A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING VACATION TIME FOR FULL TIME EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS • WHEREAS, the City of Falcon Heights does not have a vacation policy for permanent employees and, WHEREAS, the City Council desires to update their vacation policy for permanent employees which is fair and equitable to the employees and which is consistent with the nature of the public services to be rendered to the City of Falcon Heights. NOW, THEBEF'ORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, by the City Council of Falcon Heights that the following schedule for vacation be adhered to: 1. Vacation time for full time employees of the City of Falcon Heights shall be calculated according to the following schedule: (1) After 6 months of continuous employment, employees shall be entitled to 5 days paid vacation; (2) After one full year of continuous employment, employees shall be entitled to a total of 10 days paid vacation; (3) After two full years of continuous employment, employees shall be entitled to a total of 10 days paid vacation per year. (!~) After ten full years of continuous employment, employees shall be entitled to a total of 15 days paid vacation per year. (5) After 15 full years of continuous employment, employees shall be entitled to a total of 20 days paid vacation per year thereafter. II. IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that the following conditions on the accrual of vacation time are imposed: (1) No vacation time may be taken until it is fully earned; (2) A11 vacsti~a time must be taken within one year after it is accrued; (3) If vacation time is not taken within one year after it is accrued, it shall be forefeited and there will be no re- imbursement for such unused and forf~~..ted vacation time.
