CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a Special Meeting of the-City Council of <br />the City of Falcon Heights, Minnesota was held on the 27th day of December, 1979. <br />The following members were present: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Steele and <br />Stone and the following were absent: Councilmember Brown. <br />Mayor Warkentien introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION 79-.~9 <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CLERK ADMINISTRATOR <br />TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE LEAGUE OF MINNESOTA <br />CITIES INSURANCE TRUST FOR GROUP HEALTH, GROUP LIFE PLAN, <br />AND DISABILITY INCOME PLAN <br />WHEREAS, The League of Minnesota Cities has established an Insurance Trust to <br />accomodate municipalities within the State of Minnesota, with reasonable cost f.or <br />Group Medical, Group Life and Disability Income Plan which will accomodate small <br />groups which have difficulty in getting quotes from most health insurance groups; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that in entering into an agreement with <br />the League of Minnesota Insurance Trust they will give City employees and dependents <br />the necessary Health, Life and Disability insurance coverage they desire at a reason- <br />able cost; <br />NOW THEREFORE, it is determined by the City Council of the City of Falcon Heights <br />that said agreement shall be executed by the Mayor and Clerk Administrator on behalf <br />of the City of Falcon Heights. <br />Councilmember Steele seconded the motion and upon a vote being taken the follow- <br />ing voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmember Steele and Stone, and the following <br />voted "nay": None. <br />WHEREUPON, the foregoing Resolution was adopted. <br />Attest: <br />Dewan B.
