CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS <br />Pursuant to due gall and notice thereof a ap~,cia1 meeting of the City <br />Council of the City of Falcon Heights, Minnesota, was held on the 11th..-day.~f <br />April, 1980. <br />The following members were present: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers <br />Steele, Brown, Eggert and Larson, and the following were absent: None. <br />Mayor Tn~:arkentien introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION 80-8 <br />A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE RAMSEY COUNTY BOARD <br />OF COMMISSIONERS TO CONSIDER UPGRADING HAMLINE <br />AVENUE, HOYT AVENUE TO LARPENTEUR AVENUE <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Falcon Heights has had numerous <br />complaints from St. Paul and Falcon Heights citizens adjacent to Hamline Avenue <br />as to the run down condition of the street and, <br />WHEREAS, the drainage system is in need of correcting with curb and <br />gutter and, <br />WHEREAS, the Metro Transit bus service uses Hamline Avenue which has <br />created damage to houses adjacent to the street due to the bad base under the <br />bituminous surfacing, <br />• NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Falcon <br />Heights to request the Ramsey County Board of Commissioners to direct the County <br />Engineer to consider the reconstruction of Hamline Avenue from Larpenteur Avenue <br />to Hoyt Avenue with expediance. <br />The motion for the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Council- <br />member Brown and upon a vote being taken the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Steele, Brown, Eggert and Larson, and the <br />following voted against the same: None. <br />WHEREUPON, the motion was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />~ -, <br />Willis C.
