CITX OF FALCON HEIGHTS <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a Regular Meeting of the City <br />• Council of the City of Falcon Heights, Minnesota was held on the 9th day of <br />September, 1981. <br />The following members were present: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers <br />Eggert and Larson, and the following were absent: Councilmembers Steele and <br />Brown. Mayor Warkentien introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />RESOLUTION 81-12 <br />REQUESTING THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL HRA TO APPLY <br />FOR AND IMPLEMENT A REHABILITATION LOAN PROGRAM <br />WITHIN THE CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA <br />WHEREAS, the City of Falcon Heights, Minnesota desires to assist low <br />income homeowners in making repairs to their homes for the purpose of correct- <br />ing defects affecting directly the safety, habitability, energy conservation, <br />or accessibility of the property; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency has funds to be used for <br />such purposes, and will accept applications from housing and redevelopment <br />authorities desiring to administer these Rehabilitation Loan Program funds; <br />and, <br />WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has been duly organized pursuant to <br />• Minnesota Statutes 1976, Section 473.123 and has all the powers and duties of <br />a housing and redevelopment authority pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 1976, <br />473.193 under the provisions of the Municipal Housing and Redevelopment Act, <br />Minnesota Statutes 1976, Sections 462.411 to 462.711; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Metropolitan Council is hereby <br />requested to include the City of Falcon Heights in an application for state <br />Rehabilitation Loan Program funds, and that the Clerk Administrator Dewan B. <br />Barnes is hereby authorized to enter into any necessary agreement with the <br />Metropolitan Council for operating the Program within the city. <br />The foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Larson, and <br />upon a vote being taken thereon the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor <br />Warkentien and Councilmember Larson, and the following voted against the same: <br />Councilmember Eggert. <br />WHEREUPON, the Resolution was declared ly passed and a d. <br />( ~~ ~ _ <br />Willis C.
