CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City <br />• Council of the City of Falcon Heights, Minnesota was held on the 7th day of <br />October, 1981. <br />The following members were present: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers <br />Brown, Eggert and Larson and the following were absent: Council- <br />member Steele. <br />Councilmember Larson introduced the following resolution and moved <br />its adoption •. <br />RESOLUTION 81-15 <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE COMPREHENSIVE CITY <br />PLAN, PROVIDING FOR THE PERIODIC REVIEW THERE- <br />OF, AND PROVIDING FOR THE INTEGRATION OF CAPITAL <br />IMPROVEMENT PROGRAMMING AND PHYSICAL DEVELOP- <br />- MENT THEREWITH <br />WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission has outlined goals and policies that <br />the Community should set for itself within the foreseeable future; and <br />WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Land Planning Act has required that the City <br />prepare a Comprehensive City Plan and submit same for review by the Metropolitan <br />Council; and <br />• WHEREAS, the Planning Commission after study and review has developed a <br />comprehensive, long-range plan to 1990 and beyond in accordance with provisions <br />of the Metropolitan Land Planning Act, Systems Statement, and Plan Content <br />Guidelines developed by the Metropolitan Council; and <br />WHEREAS, the Comprehensive City Plan has been adopted by the Planning <br />Commission following a public hearing with the required legal notice; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Plan was transmitted to adjacent and affected public <br />jurisdictions for review and comment per time and legal requirements; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Plan has previously been considered bit not officially <br />adopted by the City Council; and _ <br />WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the need for a Plan which will <br />serve as a guide for better maintenance and development of the Community; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has carefully considered this general Plan and <br />finds that it constitutes a suitable, logical, and timely Plan which will ad- <br />vance the Community towards the achievement of its goals and policy for preser- <br />vation, maintenance, renewal, development and economic stability; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Plan has been transmitted to the Chairman of the Metro- <br />politan Council for review under Section 473. 175 of the Metropolitan Land <br />Planning Act; and <br />WHEREAS, the Plan has been found consistent with the requirements of the <br />Metropolitan Land Planning Act, Systems Statement, and Metropolitan Develop- <br />ment Guide by resolution of the Metropolitan Council; and <br />
