VILLAGE OF FALCON HEIGHTS <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Village Council <br />of the Dillage of Falcon Heights, Minnesota, was held on the 8th day of June, 19?2 <br />The following members were present:'Acting Mayor Stone, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, <br />Taylor. The following members were absent: Mayor Warkentien until 10:50 P.M. <br /> <br /> <br />Councilman Ecklund introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 72-8 <br />WHEREAS, The Falcon Heights Village Council opened Bids on June 2, 1972, at <br />2:00 P.M., for Fire Truck Chassis and Motor Fire Apparatus and, <br />WHEREAS, The following tabulations of Bids were received: <br />BID A <br />International Harvester $ 20,928.5$ <br />John-Bean 15,092.68 <br />Bill Boyer 1l~, 951.00 <br />Midway Ford 1.,137.00 <br />BID C <br />John Bean FMC Corporation 39,035.51 <br />American LaFrance 36,573.00 <br />American Fire Apparatus It1a.,255.00 <br />Pete Persch & Sons I~1,126.00 <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Village Council of the Village of <br />Falcon Heights: That the Village accept the low Bid A of Midway Ford Company, 1$50 <br />University Avenue, St. Paul, Minnesota, in the amount of $11,137.00, on condition <br />that the Village receive a registered letter prior to the next regular meeting, from <br />Midway Ford Company, giving assurance that Midway Ford Company can and will deliver a <br />1973 Model Chassis in accordance with the advertisement for Bids, and that the deposits <br />on the three lowest Bids be retained for a period extending to the next day following <br />the next regular meeting, and that the Mayor and Clerk-Administrator are hereby author- <br />ized and directed to enter into a contract. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilman Black, and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following noted in favor <br />thereof: Acting Mayor Stone, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Taylor, and the following <br />toted against: None.
