~- , <br />~4 <br />After discussion Councilman Black introduced the following Resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION 72-19 <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT ON <br />STREET IMPROVEMENTS OF 1972 <br />WFU;REAS, after advertisement for construction bids on Street Improvements <br />of 1972 had been duly published in accordance with law, said bids were duly <br />receives, tabulated and broken down to indicate the portion of the bid price <br />attributable to bituminous curbing, including sod replacement, street improvements <br />more particularly described in the Notice of Public Hearing attached hereto as <br />Exhibit A; <br />NOTr~T THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of <br />Falcon Heights, Minnesota, as follows: <br />1. A11 bids on construction of Street Improvements of 1972 are hereby <br />received and tabulated. <br />2. The bid of Bituminous Roadways, 2825 Cedar Avenue, Minneapolis. Minnesota <br />in the amount of $10, 70.70 for the construction of said improvements including <br />$ 1,l~28.80 allocated to the construction of the improvements described in <br />said Notice of Public Hearing). in accordance with the plans and specifications. <br />and advertisement for bids is the lowest responsible bid and shall be and hereby <br />is accepted. <br />3• The Mayor and Clerk-Administrator are hereby authorized and directed <br />to enter into a contract with said bidder for the construction of said improve- <br />ments for andon behalf of the Village . <br />I <br />~.. The Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith <br />to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposit of the <br />successful bidder shall be retained until a contract has been executed. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded <br />by Councilman Ecklund, and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted <br />in favor thereof: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Stone, and the <br />following voted against: None, Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly <br />passed and adopted. <br />'~ ~" _.' <br />Willis C.
