~ ~ <br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS:, MINNESOTA <br />HELD: November 14, 1974 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular <br />meeting of the City Council of the City of Falcon Heights, <br />Minnesota was. duly held at the City Hall in said City on <br />the 14th day of November, 1974, commencing at 7:30 p.m. <br />The following members were present: Mayor Warkentien, <br />members Black, Ecklund, Steele. and Labalestra, and the <br />fallowing members were absent: None. <br />Member Black introduced the following Resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />• RESOLUTION NO. 74-•25 <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING <br />GERALDINE S. JENKINS TO FILL <br />A VACANCY FOR DISTRICT NO. 2 FOR THE <br />REDISTRICTED METROPOLITAN COUNCIL <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Falcon Heights <br />is aware that there is a vacant seat on the redistricted <br />Metropolitan Council relating to District No. 2, which dis- <br />trict includes the City of Falcon Heights; <br />WHEREAS, Geraldine S. Jenkins, 2252 Folwell Street, <br />Falcon Heights, Minnesota, 55108, is a resident of the City <br />and eligible as a candidate for the District No. 2 seat; <br />WHEREAS, Geraldine S. Jenkins has resided in the Twin <br />Cities metropolitan area since 1947, and has an awareness <br />and understanding of the area-wide governmental problems <br />facing the metropolitan area; <br />WHEREAS, Geraldine S. Jenkins has been extremely <br />active in volunteer activities in the metropolitan area, <br />including the following: <br />C <br />
