DFL legislative assistant - State Legislature - 1969; <br />2. DFL candidate for Representative in State Legis- <br />lature - 1968; <br />3. DFL precinct Chairman - 1971 through 1972; <br />4. delegate to Legislative District Convention - 1971 <br />through 1974; and <br />WHEREAS, Geraldine S. Jenkins has been active in local <br />government, including the following: <br />1. Falcon Heights Planning Commission (appointed <br />position) - 1974 through 1975; <br />2. Adhoc Committee, co-curricular activities, ISD # <br />623 (appointed position) - 1972 through 1973; and <br />• <br />WHEREAS, Geraldine S. Jenkins is a recipient in 1.973 of <br />the Hope Washburn Award, Minnesota League of Women Voters, <br />which is an annual award for outstanding service in Minne- <br />sots; and <br />WHEREAS, Geraldine S. Jenkins has clearly demonstrated <br />qualities of leadership in all these various activities; and <br />WHEREAS, Geraldine S. Jenkins is willing to make <br />substantial amounts of time available for the work of the <br />Metropolitan Council; and <br />WHEREAS, Geraldine S. Jenkins has no apparent conflicts <br />of interest which would impede her abilities to represent <br />District No. 2 of the Metropolitan Council; and <br />WHEREAS, Geraldine S.
