r1 <br />~~ <br />No. 98-20 <br />CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS <br />COUNCIL RESOLUTION <br />Date: Julv 29, 1998 <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------- <br />ARESOLUTION DECLARING COST TO BE ASSESSED AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF <br />PROPOSED ASSESSMENT <br />WHEREAS, a contract has been let (costs have been determined) for the improvement of <br />Hoyt Avenue between Fulham Street and Cleveland Avenue; and <br />WHEREAS, Hoyt Avenue is a border street shared by the City of St. Paul and the City of <br />Falcon Heights; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Falcon Heights will share in the costs of improving Hoyt Avenue. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FALCON <br />HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA: <br />1. The portion of the cost of such improvement to be paid by the city is hereby declared to be <br />$186,642.21 and the portion of the cost to be assessed against benefited property owners is <br />declared to be $68,374.22. <br />2. The city clerk, with the assistance of the consulting city engineer, shall forthwith calculate <br />the proper amount to be specially assessed against every assessable lot, piece, or parcel of <br />land within the district affected, without regard to cash valuation, as provided by law, and <br />shall file a copy of such proposed assessment in the City office for public inspection. <br />3.
