• CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS <br />RESOLUTION <br />No: 03-06 <br />Date: March 12.2003 <br />RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF SHERMAN AND ASSOCIATES' APPLICATION TO <br />THE RAMSEY COUNTY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT AND <br />DAKOTA COUNTY CONSORTIUM HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIP <br />PROGRAMS <br />SOUTHEAST CORNER REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, the City of Falcon Heights has identified the southeast corner of Snelling <br />and Larpenteur Avenues as a priority for redevelopment in its Comprehensive Plan update of <br />2000; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has determined, through research, community input, and the <br />development of guidelines, that mixed use development is appropriate for this site, including a <br />mix of housing and neighborhood retail services; and <br />• WHEREAS, the City has worked closely with both the property owners and the residents <br />of this neighborhood to determine a course of action which will improve the appearance, quality <br />of life, and future development of the city; <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City supports Sherman and <br />Associates' efforts to provide 25 housing units targeted to 30% of the median income at this site, <br />and asks Ramsey County to join the City and Sherman and Associates as a partner in this <br />development. <br />Moved by: Kuettel <br />GEHRZ Five In Favor <br />KUETTEL <br />LAMB <br />LINDSTROM None Against <br />TALBOT <br />Approved by: ~~~ <br />Susan L.
