• <br />CITY COUNCIL OF FALCON HEIGHTS <br />RESOLUTION 2004-07 <br />A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE CONTINUED EXISTENCE OF THE <br />METROPOLITAN RADIO BOARD <br />WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Radio Board 9MRB) was authorized by the 195 Minnesota <br />Legislature to plan, develop, and implement aregion-wide public safety radio communication <br />system; and <br />WHEREAS, the MRB is composed of local government elected and appointed officials as well <br />as Metropolitan Council members who recognize the high level of cooperation needed among all <br />users to ensure the system's success and the importance of local input and governance; and <br />WHEREAS, the MRB is achieving its legislative charge and working to provide training, update <br />the system, obtain federal funding and attract new members from within and outside the region; <br />• NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Falcon Heights, Minnesota <br />supports the continued local governance and input into the metropolitan public safety <br />communications system through the MRB and supports the legislation to continue the MRB. <br />ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF FALCON HEIGHTS ON MARCH 24, 2004. <br />APPROVED BY: <br />~~JG~ <br />Susan L.
