• <br />CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS RESOLUTION 2004-10 (continued) _2_ <br />WHEREAS, the City of Falcon Heights desires Ramsey County to repair all deteriorated <br />structures on Roselawn Avenue (County Road 114), from Cleveland Avenue to Snelling Avenue, <br />at an estimated cost of $6,500; and mill and overlay Roselawn Avenue, from Cleveland Avenue <br />to Fairview Avenue, for an estimated cost of $110,000; and crack seal Roselawn Avenue, from <br />Fairview Avenue to Snelling Avenue, for an estimated cost of $1,100, and fund the structure <br />repairs, mill and overlay and crack seal projects with an estimated $117,600 from Capital <br />Improvement Funds for Ramsey County Roadway Consolidation; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Falcon Heights desires to reconstruct Roselawn Avenue (County Road <br />14), from Snelling Avenue to Hamline Avenue, for an estimated cost of $1,000,000 and fund the <br />project with Municipal State Aid Street sources, and an estimated $175,000 from Capital <br />Improvement Funds for Ramsey County Roadway Consolidation; <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the City of Falcon Heights does hereby concur with <br />the Ramsey County Board of Commissioners revoking the "County Road" status of Hamline <br />. Avenue (County Road 132), from Hoyt Avenue to Larpenteur Avenue, and Roselawn Avenue <br />(County Road 114), from Cleveland Avenue to Hamline Avenue, and transfers jurisdiction over <br />the roadways to the City of Falcon Heights, effective after the County is in receipt of an adopted <br />resolution from the City of Falcon Heights concurring with the County revoking the "County <br />Road" status of Hamline Avenue (County Road 132), from Hoyt Avenue to Larpenteur Avenue, <br />and Roselawn Avenue (County Road 114), from Cleveland Avenue to Hamline Avenue, and <br />after the Ramsey County Office of Budgeting and Accounting has encumbered the funds <br />necessary to fund the County portion of the City's reconstruction projects, the structure repairs, <br />mill and overlay and crack seal projects; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that as just compensation for these jurisdictional transfers the <br />County shall pay to the City an estimated $228,000 upon presentation of billings from the <br />construction contractor(s) for the reconstruction of Hamline and Roselawn Avenues; and shall <br />repair deteriorated structures, mill and overlay and crack seal Roselawn Avenue at an estimated <br />cost of $117,60; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that upon turn back to the City of Falcon Heights from Ramsey <br />County the segment of Hamline Avenue (County Road 132), from Hoyt Avenue to Larpenteur <br />Avenue, and Roselawn Avenue (County Road 114), from Cleveland Avenue to Hamline <br />Avenue, be and are hereby established, located and designated as Municipal State Aid Streets <br />of said City, subject to the approval of the Commissioner of Transportation of the State of <br />Minnesota; and <br />• <br />
