Chuck Long <br />Minutes By: Bill Maertz <br />Present. Donna Daykin, Patrick Dolan, David buckler, James Evans, Chuck <br />Long, Robert Lamb, Bill Maertz <br />Absent. Denise Deen <br />Copies To: Commission members, Heather Worthington -City Administrator, <br />Diane Meyer -Recreation Coordinator <br />• Meeting called to order at 7:00 PM <br />1) Final design concept for Curtiss Field <br />Maertz presented the final design concept for the improvements at Curtiss field. <br />The final design locates the gazebo on the NE corner of the park and includes a <br />walking path around the entire drainage area. <br />2) Review of proposals for engineering services for Curtiss Field project. <br />Howard R. Green Company, 1326 Energy Park Drive St. Paul, MN was the low <br />bid at a cost not to exceed $19,500. <br />3) Recreation Update <br />A. Maertz stated that the ice skating rinks were behind schedule because of the <br />warm weather and that maintenance crews would be going on evening shifts in <br />order to build up the ice. <br />B. Discussion of fees for summer programs. Maertz stated that a fee increase <br />was in order so that users were paying a higher percentage of the cost of the <br />program. Council member Lamb stated that he would like to see more revenue <br />from the recreation program. Council member Lamb suggested using a tree sale <br />as a fundraiser. <br />C. Commission member Daykin asked if there had been any progress on the <br />• Folwell corridor path. Maertz replied that there was interest from Lauderdale and <br />that he would be meeting with Lauderdale staff to discuss a shared project. <br />
