~`"eso~ <br />~° <br />~' <br />• <br />Minnesota Department of Transportation <br />Metro District <br />Office of State Aid <br />1500 West County Road B2 <br />Roseville, MN 55113-3174 <br />January 9, 2004 <br />Ms. Heather Worthington <br />City Administrator <br />2077 Larpenteur Avenue W. <br />Falcon Heights, MN 55113-5551 <br />RE: Request for Cooperative Agreement Funding <br />TH 51 @ Idaho Ave. storm pond improvements <br />In the City of Falcon Heights <br />Dear Ms. Worthington: <br />Office Tel: 651-582-1661 <br />Office Fax: 651-582-1368 <br />E-mail: mike.kowski@dot.state.mn.us <br />I am writing to inform you of the decision reached January 8, 2004 by the Fiscal Year (FY) 2005 <br />1Vlunicipal Agreement Program Selection Committee regarding the above referenced project. <br />After considering the 30 candidates submitted for inclusion in the FY 2005 Program, the <br />Selection Committee has decided to grant your request for funding up to a maximum <br />• contribution by Mn/DOT of $54.000 (this includes $4,000 for use toward Construction <br />Engineering & Inspection). <br />This is the maximum amount of Mn/DOT Cooperative Agreement funding available for this <br />project and it is available. only for use. on pond construction items that can be justified in <br />accordance with the Mn/DOT Cost Participation Policy. If the cost of eligible items falls below <br />this maximum amount the funds awarded will be reduced to match the cost of the eligible items. <br />For a description of eligible items please refer to the Mn/DOT Cost Participation Policy. This <br />policy can be viewed at: httn://www.dot.state.mn.us/metro/stateaid/ /dsl 1 pdf <br />To receive the funds, this project must be let by June 30th 2005. After that date the money <br />becomes unavailable. <br />As a condition of the Municipal Agreement Program it is the responsibility of the local <br />government agency to develop a complete set of construction plans & specifications for the <br />project as well as acquiring any Right-of--Way necessary to construct the job. <br />Pursuant to the acquisition of R/W for this project, the local government agency will be solely <br />responsible for any costs associated with obtaining the property as well as any legal actions <br />resulting from the acquisition of said property. <br />• <br />An equal opportunity employer <br />
