Minutes <br />• <br />City of Falcon Heights, Park and Recreation Commission Meeting <br />August 8, 2005 <br />7:00 PM <br />Meeting Chair. Chuck Long <br />Minutes By: Greg Hoag <br />Present: Laura Kuettel ,James Evans, Chuck Long, Greg Hoag, Annie Green, Gene <br />Ozasky, Kimberly Kuhens <br />Absent: Patrick Dolan, Lisa Anderson <br />1. Meeting called to order 7:00 PM <br />2. Approval of agenda made by Evans seconded by Green. <br />• 3. Approval of minutes July 11, 2005 made by Evans seconded by Ozasky. Long <br />stated that the minutes reflected that he made two motions, as chair he cannot <br />make the motions. (Minutes have been corrected) Evans asked about the <br />Tobacco money grant. Hoag stated that he had no new information to report. <br />Members of the Commission are encouraged to continue to think of ideas for <br />this program. <br />4. Staff Report: <br />Hoag gave an Ice Cream Social report provided by Anderson. It was <br />noted that the entertainment cancelled the day before the event. It was <br />estimated that about 300 people attended. <br />Hoag also reported for Anderson that the summer programs were <br />wrapping up. We received a lot of feedback from the evaluations that <br />were passed out. <br />Hoag opened a discussion regarding the Community Playroom. It was <br />noted that attendance last year was poor, and we had some problems <br />retaining reliable staff. Green stated that she was a user of the <br />Playroom and preferred not to see it eliminated. Kuettel also stated that <br />when the Playroom first opened she used it quite often. Both Kuettel <br />. and Green noted that the playroom served an age group not normally <br />served by recreation programs, birth to two years. General discussion <br />
