Attached are copies of the city staff's draft <br />of the parks & recreation operating budget and capital <br />improvement program. Also attached is a budget summary for the <br />1992 summer recreation program. This information should be <br />useful in analyzing the operating budget as summer programs <br />account for a large portion of the operating budget. <br />In dealing with the parks C.I.P., the commission will want to <br />address several major issues: <br />1. Now that the Falcon Heights school site is considered <br />a higher and more imminent priority, in what year <br />should various improvements be scheduled and how does <br />this affect scheduled improvements for Grove Park? <br />2. In general, in what magnitude does the commission view <br />potential improvements for Falcon Heights School and <br />Grove Park? Is the Grove Park plan that was developed <br />in 1989 still endorsed? <br />3. What timeline might be developed in an effort to <br />accomplish the scheduled improvements? How might <br />neighborhood input be gained and when? <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Approval of a '92 Parks and Recreation <br />operating budget and capital improvement program. <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />a.
