FALCON HEIGHTS <br />PARK °flECBEAiION <br />1992 SUMMER ACTIVITIES <br />REGISTRATION INFORMATION: Register by mail or in <br />person at the Falcon Heights City Hall, 2077 W. Larpenteur, <br />Instructors are not permitted to accept registration at the ac- <br />tivity. Registration deadlines for all programs are one week <br />prior to the start of the activity. <br />Register early -Enrollment is limited in most programs. <br />Programs are subject to cancellation if there is not sufficient <br />registration. Refunds are given only when an activity is <br />cancelled. If you have any questions concerning the pro- <br />grams, please contact the Falcon Heights City Hall <br />(644-5050). <br />NON-RESIDENT FEE: All program enrollees residing outside <br />of the City of Falcon Heights are subject to an additional <br />$2.00 non-resident fee. <br />SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION: A limited number of pro- <br />gram scholarships are available for those who demonstrate <br />financial need. Applications are available on request at <br />Falcon Heights City Hall. All scholarship information is kept <br />confidential. <br />PARK BUILDING RENTALS <br />The Community Park Building, located at Roselawn and <br />Cleveland, and the Curtiss Field shelter, located at Idaho <br />and Snelling are available for rental. These facilities are <br />available for meetings, picnics, reunions and other events.. <br />For more information, please call city hall at 644-5050. <br />CLEVELAND AVENUE ROAD CONSTRUCTION <br />The reconstruction of Cleveland Avenue is scheduled for this <br />summer. This project will not affect your ability to enter and <br />exit the Community Park on Roselawn Ave. <br />FRIDAY AFTERNOON AT THE MOVIES <br />Join us at the Falcon Heights City Hall and enjoy <br />watching Disney Family Classic movies. <br />Films will be shown with a reel to reel projector on a <br />large screen. Showtime is 1:00 on the respective Fridays: <br />June 26, July 10, 17 and 24. Cost is $2.00 per person. <br />Space is limited ...sign up in advance. <br />5F <br />sAFE. a <br />a <br />FAMILY FIRE PREVENTION SEMINAR <br />Does your child understand the serious nature of fire and <br />know what to do in the event of such an emergency? <br />Attend this fun, family oriented fire prevention seminar <br />and learn fire prevention tips that cou-d be life saving. <br />This is a great opportunity for young children to visit with <br />fire fighters and tour the fire station. Refreshments will <br />be served. <br />Date: Thursday, June 25 <br />Time: 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. <br />Location: Falcon Heights Fire Station, 2077 W. Larpenteur <br />Cost: No admission fee. <br />~~ <br />DISCOVERY! <br />"Discovery" is a program designed to provide recrea- <br />tion and social experiences for children three and four years <br />of age. Children will have the opportunity to be involved <br />in a variety of activities including recreational games, music, <br />arts & crafts and storytelling! One four-week session is <br />planned. "Discovery" will be taught by one adult leader <br />and one aid. <br />Date: Monday & Wednesday, June 22 -July 15 <br />Time: 9:15 - 10:45 a.m. <br />Location: Falcon Heights Community Park Building <br />Cost: $ 20.00 <br />Program Minimum: 8 <br /> <br />JUNIOR LEADERS <br />Falcon Heights appreciates and encourages youth in grades <br />7 and up to participate in our junior leader program. Junior <br />leaders assist lead instructors and coaches in conducting a <br />wide variety of summer programs. Interested youth should <br />apply at city hall by June 15. <br />THIS PUBLIC INFORMATION WILL BE MADE AVAILABLE IN LARGE PRINT OR BRAILLE UPON REQUEST BY THOSE WHO <br />WOULD BENEFIT. <br />
