School Site <br />Improvement Committee member, opened the meeting by welcoming those in <br />attendance and thanking them for attending. Greg gave a brief overview of the work <br />to date in developing a school site improvement plan by the Parks and Recreation <br />Commission, staff, and the school site improvement committee. Work to date has <br />included: 1) a needs assessment involving a written survey for residents in the F.H. <br />School neighborhood; 2) group discussions in the 4th, 5th, and 6th grade classrooms; <br />and 3) committee meetings with commission members and school personnel, <br />It was explained that the City Council and Parks and Recreation Commission have <br />long supported the concept of City participation in improvements to the school <br />• grounds.
