MINUTES
PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING
OCTOBER 5, 1981
PAGE 2
Upon motion by Nilsen, second by Wallin, the Coma-ission unanimously re-
commended that the City Council take action to authorize direct communi-
cation between American Shelter Corporation,. Lemberg .and Carl Dale to
facilitate the continued planning of the American Shelter project, with
the costs of such communication to be borne by American Shelter Corporation.
Abutting .property owner George Plant expressed his opinion that the American
Shelter concept is a kind of development of the property he would like to
see if single. family detached dwellings were not economically feasible.
After much general discussion, Councilmember Brown agreed that the next
Falcon Heights Newsletter would advise the residents of the American
Shelter proposal with particular reference to the contemplated exits
onto Tatum and Prior.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:10 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
J rry Wa lin
•
JW/sgc
