Following a short discussion, Jerry Wallin moved, <br />seconded by Harold Nilsen, that the variance be granted as requested. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />Jerry Wallin, 1859 North Snelling, explained his reasons for requesting a <br />variance to permit fencing of a swimming pool with a fence less than the <br />required 6 feet as follows: His lot is presently fenced with 4 and 5 <br />foot fencing, his lot is approximately Z acres in size, and the property <br />is a long distance back from Snelling. Following a discussion, Deborah <br />Trent-Sullivan moved, seconded by David Black, that the variance be <br />granted with the stipulation that fencing no less than exists at present <br />be maintained, and an appropriate gate be installed at the driveway area. <br />The following voted in favor thereof: Olson, Black, Grinner, Nilsen, <br />and Trent-Sullivan, and the following voted against the same: None. Motion <br />carried. <br />The Commission viewed the preliminary plans for the University Retirement <br />Condominiums, and noted the news article indicating the construction of <br />the Moder Office Condominiums will begin in June. <br />Council Liaison Chestovich informed that Council had recommended two <br />possible dates for a workshop to discuss the revised zoning ordinance, <br />April 18 and April 23. The Commission scheduled the joint workshop for <br />April 23, 1984 at 7:00 P.M. <br />Jerry Walling moved, seconded by Deborah Trent-Sullivan, that the <br />meeting be adjourned at 9:42 P.M.
