Mr. Baehr described the present PAUL BAEHR,
conditions of his driveway and advised of the increase in cost if he were 1746 HOLTON
required to move the driveway to the north. He saw no problem with snow VARIANCE
%removal as presently he blows his snow north and would continue to do so. APPROVED
~~ Mr. Baehr advised that his neighbor to the south was granted a variance to
one foot of the property line so he was asking for the same consideration.
It would be extremely difficult to enter or exit. his garage without the
variance.
• Discussion ensued on the location of the utility pole and Mr. Baehr
advised that the pole is located in the middle of the five foot setback.
Mr. Baehr felt the pole should be properly located eight to ten feet
north so that the pole would not have to be relocated again. Wallin
! stated that the location of a utility pole on public property on city
~ right of way is not a Planning Commission issue. Mr. Baehr advised
that he was not consulted about the location of the utility pole.
Mead moved to approve the variance for driveway placement of one foot
north from the south property line. Wallin seconded the motion. Black
offered an amendment to the motion to include the relocation of the
utility pole.
