MINUTES <br />PLANNING COTR`4ISSION MEETING <br />FEBRUARY 2, 1987 <br />. PAGE 2 <br />Wallin reviewed the background and Council input on the proposed Code CODE <br />amendment relating to repair of vehicles as prepared by Jerry Filla. AMENDMENT <br />Discussion ensured regarding the wording in Section 9-13..07, Subd. 1.3, RELATING <br />and why the R-4 district was specifically addressed and not included with TO REPAIR <br />the other districts as repairs in an P.-4 district should be more restrictive OF VEHICLES <br />and not less restrictive than the other districts. The Planning Commission APPROVED <br />remained unclear on language as contained in Sections 9-1..02, Subdivisions <br />2(14), 2(70) and 2(71). <br />After further discussion, Grittner moved, seconded by Boche to approve <br />Section 9-13.07 as amended as follows: Subd. 1.3, R-4 should be added <br />in first sentence, the word also should be added in the last sentence <br />between the words shall and be (In an R-4 zone, the location of major <br />and minor repair work shall also be governed by regulations of the property <br />owner.), and Subd. 1.5 the word. Permit should be substituted for the word <br />License in the heading. Motion approved unanimously. <br />Chairman Black advised that his term as well as the term of Don Grittner TERMS <br />and Carolyn Nestingen have expired as of December 31, 1986. The three FOR MEMBERS <br />members agreed to serve another term on the Planning Commission. <br />Chairman Black distributed a memorandum from Connie Lasser, Pat Bush and BIKING/ <br />• Paul Ciernia regarding the establishment of a Biking/Hiking Pathway HIKING <br />Advisory Committee. He requested the item be placed on next month's PATHWAY <br />Planning Commission agenda. ADVISORY <br />COMMITEE <br />Council Liaison Wallin requested input from the Planning Commission concerning <br />the preparation of a job description for a Planning Commission member that JOB <br />would be distributed to prospective candidates. Chairman Black will prepare DESCRIPTION <br />a draft of such a description for Planning Commission input in the next coupleFOR PLANNIN( <br />of months. COMMISSION <br />MEMBERS <br />Northrop requested further information on the status of the Clerk Administrator <br />position and the status of the southeast corner of Larpenteur and Snelling. <br />Wallin updated Planning Commission members on the developments. <br />Boche moved, seconded by Daykin, to adjourn the meeting at 9:00 P.M.
