MINUTES ~ ~ " PLANNING COMMISSION FALCON HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA REGULAR MEETING DECEMBER 13, 1976 A regular meeting of the Falcon Heights Planning Commission was called to order by Chairman Plant at 7:30 p.m. Chairman Plant, Members Stone, Larson, Blomberg, Schwantes, Ohman and Lammers. Also present was newly appointed member Michael Heffron. Member Yonan. Chairman Plant announced that he had submitted his resignation as a member of the Commission to the City Council to be effective December 31, 1976. He stated the work on the Commission was enjoyable and that he appreciated the cooperation and loyalty of the members. Michael Heffron was introduced as a new member to replace Plant on the Commission. A brief review was given of Idle workshop at Roseville City Hall on November 15, 1976, concerning the implementation of the Minnesota Land Planning Act in the metropolitan area. It was felt that a comprehensive plan should be developed for land use of our. city so that the Systems Statement that will be sent to Falcon Heights, after March 1, 1977, can be studied for possible con- flict. Member Schwantes, who was previously named as contact person for the Metropolitan Council on the Planning Act, will get in touch with that office to determine the date for receipt of Systems Statement and preparation necessary. Member Lammers agreed to contact the University of Minnesota Planning Department as to their plans for future use of land along Larpenteur Avenue. _ It was decided to hold an organizational meeting on Monday, January 3, 1977, at 7:30 p.m., with Member Ohman to be Acting Chairman for the meeting.
