Definitions.. A. Antenna, a~ used in this ordinance, means that portion of any equipment located on the exterior or outside of any structure, used for transmitting or receiving radio television waves. B. Tower, a. used in this ordinance, means any pole, spire, or structure, or combination thereof, to which an antenna is attached, and all supporting lines, cables, wires,. braces , and masts . 193.02. Permits , A. E'ertnit rec~uire<~. ~t shall be unlawful for any person, firm, or corpoa~ation to erect, cora:;truct in place, place or re-erect, replace, or repair any tower in any residen- tial district without first making application to the City of Bloomington Licensing and inspection Division and securing a permit therefor as hereinafter provided.. • B. C. The applicant shall provide at the time of application, sufficient information to indicate that construction, installation, and maintenance of the antenna and tower will not create a safety hazard or damage to the pro- ' petty of other persons. D. Exceptions. Permits are not required for: (1) Any antenna or oorrbination of antenna and tower rigidly attached to a building provided that the combination of antenna and tower does not exceed a total height of 20 feet above the highest point of attachment.
