( Falcon Heights ) 55108 <br />Phone: 645 8913 <br />SU~3JECT: Request for variance in garage construction <br />I respectfully request the following variance in the <br />construction of a. new garage : tiro feet £rom tre east lot <br />line; and six feet in from the alley -direct entrance. <br />REASONS: 1. All of the garages in our alley have been built <br />uniformly with approximately two feet from the <br />side let lines including a new garage= three houses down <br />currently under. construction. <br />2. This of course sets a prece:ient, i.e., a ne<<~ <br />resident, across the alley, is presently building a much <br />larger garage than I am proposing and has been granted a <br />variance such as I am now requesting. <br />3. Also, this variance allo~~s me to preserve the <br />ecological aesthetic of the alley in that I am able to <br />preserve two trees which otherwise rrould have to be cut doom. <br />4. There is no garage immediately across fror:: the <br />proposed entrance to my garage ( it is off to the other side ), <br />only a recessed concrete drive~,ray, thus no probler- in entry <br />and exit in the alley. <br />5.
