Plant <br />Chairman, Falcon Heights Planning Commission <br />Dear Sir: <br />UNIVERSITY SERVICES <br />108 WESBROOK HALL MINNEAPOLIS 14 <br />This letter is a request of the Falcon Heights Planning Commission to <br />consider a var,., ianc~ permit in Auditor's sub-division number 90, Ramsey <br />County, State of Minnesota, and known as "University Grove East". <br />This area has beenc~signated by the University of Minnesota for faculty <br />homesite use in accordance with requirements approved by the Board of Regents <br />of the University approved May 12, 1961 in regular session. <br />The plat of this area was approved by the Ramsey County Auditor and was <br />presented to the Falcon Height Council for recommendations in 1961. <br />The request for a variance permit is based on the following quotations <br />from the "University Grove, Procedures for Improvements" approved May 12, 1961 <br />which in turn is a continuation°of requirements previously enforced in t he <br />original University Grove area immediately adjacent to this new area: <br />Page ~, II, A, 2--Setback Lines <br />The setback from the front boundatq line shall be approximately, and not <br />less than, thirty five feet. Side yards shall be a minimum width of not less <br />than six inches for each foot of height of the building above the average <br />finished grade, which shall in no case be less than six feet from the lot line <br />perpendicular to the outer edge of the save. The height of the wall for gable <br />ends shall b e subject to the approval of the Grove Committee.
