Olson Residence
1436 1~Jest Larpenteur Avenue •
Gentlemen:
.The Planning Commission met again orr November 9, 1971, with
Dr. and P•4rs. Harry Olson to consider a variance for the fence
being placed on the vacant lot adjacent to their residence.
The fence, which encloses a swimming pool. and play area, is a
four foot high opaque type. It is set back approximately five.
feet from the front property line and replaces a lower rail
fence. iJeither a building permit nor a variance application`
~,~ere filed before construction began.
The Planning Commission findsthat a variance is required
based on Sections 4.3(9) and 4.7 of the Zoning Ordinance. The
Planning Commission further recommends that the application for
variance be denied and that the fence be lowered to two-and-one-
half feet or set. back thirty feet from the front property line
per Section 4.7 of the Zoning Ordinance. .Denial of the applica-
t i on ror variance i s r ecorfu7lef ided becauSC file P i aim i ng CGinTi i SS i vn
does not see demonstrable hardship or difficulty resulting from -
the enforcement of the zoning ordinance.
Very truly yours,
i~
j.,
~ ~'
George~W.
