Attachment g
CITY OF
FALCON
HEIGHTS
2077 W. LARPENTEUR AVENUE FALCON HEIGHTS, MN 55113 -5594 PHONE (612) 644 -5050 FAX (612) 644 -8675
23 October 1992
Mr. Roger Pittelkow
1853 Pascal St.
Falcon Heights, MN 55113
Dear. Mr. Pittelkow:
Dr. Treeful explained to me the location of the property line and
the determination that the tree was in the private portion of the
property. I'm sorry that you do not agree with this
determination and that you found Dr. Treeful unpleasant to deal
with.
I visited the property with Mr. Wright. I have no reason to
question Mr. Wright's or Dr. Treeful's conclusions regarding the
prior location of the tree trunk. She is also the person who is
trained in tree growth, tree disease, tree removal and evidence
of removed trees.
The city's policy about tree removal on private property was not
developed until 1985. As I understand it, this was after the
neighbors' trees were removed at public expense. Current policies
cannot change past actions.
As you know, this will be an agenda item on October 28.
Sincerely,
Susan Hoyt
City Administrator
HOME OF THE MINNESOTA STATE FAIR AND THE U OF M INSTITUTE OF AGRICULTURE
e 4# PRINTED ON RECYCLED PAPER
mmanm III
