Hoyt: <br /> Thank you for your telephone call yesterday in response to a <br /> follow -up from me regarding my letter dated September 14, 1992 <br /> (copy appended). I appreciated learning the specific process of <br /> METRO EAST HUtoN requesting 1993 funding support in the amount of $1,000, or an <br /> 1299 AROAPE <br /> sr•PAUL MN 35t0a t thereof, from the City of Falcon Heights for Lutheran <br /> t06 a moun ereo rom y <br /> (612) 774 social service share -A -Home. Due to anticipated state and county <br /> budget cutbacks (resources which share -A -Home has traditionally <br /> relied upon), funding support from communities such as yours is <br /> extremely crucial to the ability of this program to serve citizens <br /> of Falcon Heights. <br /> As 1 mentioned, many other area communities are being similarly <br /> approached for support; particularly those having a history of <br /> funding share -A -come. The city of Maplewood contributed $3,000 in <br /> 1992 and is considering the same in 1993. support in the amount <br /> of $4,000 is being proposed to council members in the City of <br /> Roseville. The City of Vadnais Freights has approved $200 plus <br /> offered assistance in publicizing the program in 1993. several <br /> local funding organizations have been suggested by the city of <br /> Arden Hills. Other suburban cities of Ramsey county which have <br /> been contacted and are now being follow -up with are New Brighton, <br /> North st. Paul and shoreview. The City of st. Paul has also been <br /> presented a request to support Share -A -Home services. <br /> Past contributions from the City of Falcon Heights to this program <br /> are $670 in 1986, $497 in 1987, and $504 in 1989. <br /> Thank you for your consideration of this request for support. <br /> Please contact me at 774 -9507 should you need additional <br /> information.
