HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION <br /> OCTOBER 20, 1992 <br /> MINUTES <br /> PRESENT: Wayne Groff, Jan Gibson Talbot, Gwen Willems, Pam Harris <br /> ABSENT: Edward Sheppard, David Bowers <br /> ALSO PRESENT: Carol Kriegler, Parks and Rec Director <br /> All commissioners agreed that we must include wording on all <br /> written information to accommodate ADA. This includes information <br /> sent out to schools and ads in newsletter. Carol would arrange for <br /> "reasonable accommodation" for the city's recreation programs. <br /> Commission recommends using phrase adopted by the city for all <br /> written literature for Parks and Rec and for the Falconeers. <br /> Falconeers also need to include "inclusive language" in their <br /> written information. Commission will invite president to come to <br /> next meeting to describe activities of the Falconeers. <br /> MEETING ADJOURNED. <br /> PLEASE NOTE: Next meeting will be held November 19, 1992. <br />
