I <br /> No. 0 -92 -07 <br /> CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS <br /> O R D I N A N C E <br /> Date: 11/25/92 <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 5, PART 13, OF <br /> THE CODE OF THE CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS <br /> RELATING TO BUSINESS LICENSES <br /> THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS ORDAINS: <br /> SECTION 1. Section 5 -14.02 of the Code of the City of Falcon <br /> Heights is amended to read as follows: <br /> 5 -14.02 Business Licenses. No person shall operate a business <br /> within the City of Falcon Heights without obtaining and <br /> maintaining a business license as provided herein. <br /> a. Issuance. Each owner of a business to be located <br /> within the city shall complete an application for <br /> business license on forms provided by the City Clerk, <br /> containing such information as is requested on the form. <br /> Business licenses shall be issued upon receipt of the <br /> completed application and appropriate license fee (as <br /> stipulated in Chapter 5 -15.02 of this code) after review <br /> by city staff, provided that the operation of the <br /> business at the proposed location complies with this code <br /> and other applicable law. A separate license shall be <br /> required for each address at which business operations <br /> are conducted. <br /> b. Revocation. A business license may be revoked by the <br /> City Council after a hearing at which the Council finds <br /> that operation of the business is inconsistent with the <br /> information provided on the license application, <br /> operation of the business violates any part of the city <br /> code or state or federal law, and /or operation of the <br /> business has resulted in repeated violations of the code <br /> or state or federal law. At least ten days prior to such <br /> a revocation hearing, notice shall be mailed to the <br /> owner(s) of the business license, indicating the nature <br /> of the hearing. A majority vote of the council shall be <br /> sufficient to sustain revocation of a business license. <br /> c. Renewal. Business licenses granted hereunder may be <br /> renewed upon submission to the City Clerk of the <br /> appropriate license renewal fee and a completed renewal <br /> application, indicating any changes from the previous <br />
