Few proposals have <br /> been received. Last year only one proposal was received from <br /> Thommes and Thomas. This year the staff recommends using the <br /> proposal from S S Tree Specialists rather than seeking <br /> competitive proposals for the following reasons: <br /> 1. The price is competitive with last year's costs from Thommes <br /> and Thomas. Thommes and Thomas was inefficient in providing service last <br /> year. Several tree stumps were left for weeks prior to <br /> removal as were some branches and trunks. S S was <br /> reliable and will be in town for the routine trimming. <br /> ACTION REQUESTED: Approval of S S Tree Specialists for the <br /> tree removal and emergency pruning. <br />
