At the informational meeting, the resident who lives at 1603 Northrup requested that we <br /> examine the possibility of reducing the size of the island at the Northrup and Folwell <br /> Avenue intersection. According to Mrs. Coffins, it is difficult to get in and out of the <br /> driveway. We have examined the width of the street between the island and the opposite <br /> curb, and it is the same width as the other streets in the area. However, when we looked <br /> at the turner radii of a passenger car turning left from westbound Folwell Avenue to the <br /> driveway, the vehicle would cut across the corner of the island. Therefore, we are <br /> proposing to cut off approximately 5 feet of the western corner of the island.
